Been playing around on the Slide N’ Glide board design by Scott Anderson and Josh Farberow for over a year now around Malibu, but this is the first time I’ve brought one down to try on some lefts. Amazing how much fun you can have in the surf simply by jumping on a different craft and trying to manage the changes it provides or allows. These boards are not functional in the contest mentality of approaching a ride, that’s obvious, but they sure go fast and ignite your imagination of where you can spin on a wave face. Be it on the take off, during the drop, off the bottom turn, inside the tube, out of the shoulder or off the lip… endless fun for those times when you just need to do something different, and humble yourself by falling off when least expected too. Thanks to my gal again for capturing a playful moment.
